Master Planning – Just only the master plan
CCH were commissioned to prepare a master plan on a site in Clarlesland, Co. Wicklow to accommodate 1,000 plus residential units, neighbourhood centre, some 20,00 sq. m of industrial units on an adjoining site, with some 25,000 sq. m of a business park on a further area of the site.
CCH led discussions and made presentations to the Local Authority, the IDA and local interested groups.
The residential element plus neighbourhood centre received Planning Permission for 1,300 residential units, along with retail, commercial and hospitality and this element was successfully completed.
Planning Permission was granted for some 25,000 sq. m of a Business Park but that element did not progress.

Project Description – Residential Development
Following the preparation of a master plan for the development for an extensive area of land, CCH were instructed to seek Planning Permission for a 1,300-unit residential development, with a neighbourhood centre, consisting of retail including a super market, office, hospitality, crèche, landscape open space, road and associated services.
Following the Grant of Planning, the Client decided to divide the site between eight contractors with CCH overseeing the entire development, preparing the necessary drawings and documentation and monitoring progress and quality. Different methods of construction and materials were used by each contractor from traditional methods and materials, to timber frame, steel frame, pre-cast concrete and volumetric.
The development was successfully completed in 15 months.
